They were also just regular dudes. Celebrities are treated differently under the law, and that's a fact.

To be clear, in no way do I think Vick's sentence was harsh. It was about as lenient as you can get while still including jailtime

I would say those sentences are WAY to harsh for dog fighting....

My goodness... people don't get that many years for killing a human, much less some dogs...

Since Michael Vick never went to jail for dog fighting and went to jail for obstructing justice(a federal offense) just like Martha Stewert most of this make no sense

Great! Another guy who doesn't know what he is talking about...

A less-than-five-second google search returned a cnn.com article with the following sentence...

"Earlier Monday,Vick pleaded guilty to one count of "conspiracy to travel in interstate commerce in aid of unlawful activities and to sponsor a dog in an animal fighting venture" in a plea agreement filed in U.S. District Court in Richmond."

Went to jail on dogfigthing charges. It really doesn't take long to educate yourself.
