Who cares! Being nationally ranked is nothing new to Phoebus anymore. I'm more concerned about how we finish in 09. All I really wanna see is Phantom Nation holding that GOLD trophy in Charlottesville come Dec. I can care less about national rankings. They are just popularity polls now. Phoebus will probably never get the national recognition that they've earned anyway.

Up until this year, I think it is proper to say you have the honor of playing in the same district as Phoebus. They have beaten your program into the depths of inequity. The state has been talking about Phoebus this decade, not Hampton.:yo:

that is great.. even though its not #2 like the end of last year. it still brings recognition to the pd. and even though they mite not admit it, the players love having a chance to play a nationally ranked team

Wow! You really think that ESPN and USA Today do the best polls about high school football?

I find both of them to be severly lacking in quality coverage and knowledge of teams around the nation.

I'd put almost every publication ahead of the USA Today including Street & Smith who seemingly pull names from a hat for their all-american team.
