Has anyone talked about where that game would be played if it happens again.

University of Virginia for the state championship...they're definitely not the same SB though. They've only score 50 once...and yes that's a good stat to pull out especially the way they ran through the Northern Region last year.

I concur I been looking at the game stats and the scores of their games and noticed that they have slacked off a bit...maybe my good friend Kirk will give some insight on how the program is looking...I might try to catch one of their games since i'm up this way..

It's wayyy too early to talk about a Stone Bridge/Phoebus matchup. For one, neither team is as dominant as last year. It was a foregone conclusion last year. Also the rest of Div 5 schools has gotten significantly tougher. And then there's the reshuffling of divisions by VHSL. The question, is will both teams be able to make it to Charlottesville? I am optimistic about my Phantoms but we shall see. There's still a lot of football left to be played.

While Phoebus is the favorite, they still have to get out of the Eastern Region. Woodside is stronger this year and don't overlook the southside teams. Lake Taylor or Norcom may have something to say about the Regional bid before it's all over with.

Phoebus is too weak to make it out of the ER this year. LT will go all the way.:yo:

Woodside is D6 didn't know if u new that being that we are talking bout D5.

But yes its to early to talk about that. I don't think anybody needs to be looking ahead right now.

You're right about Woodside being D6. I got my Peninsula District competition confused with my Regional D5 competition. The point would have been that Phoebus had a close call with Woodside. Woodside has proven that they are on Phoebus' level this year.

Woodside was on Phoebus' level for that one particular night. I can't say that they are on Phoebus' level until the playoffs get going. Remember, that as well as they played and are playing, they still were not able to finish the job against Phoebus. Phoebus clearly wasn't on their "A" game that night either but made the plays to win the game (Controversial or not). So before we say who's on who level, let it play out. Hampton and Phoebus are already proven Championship Programs.

Lake Taylor is a good team went to see them play churchland and after seeing LT and Phoebus both play i would have to say they are even at this point of the season. I have to say with those big wrs LT has qb is kinda shaky in my eyes, we will see. There is no other eastern region div 5 team out there better than these two teams point blank.

It never stops amazing me that when a team doesn't win like their fans want them to they are not on their game or when a team plays a good game or are having a good season they are not really up to the level of anohter team. I see a lot of simularities in the PD this year, common opponents are being beatin by the same scores, which leads me to believe that Woodside and Phoebus may be on the SAME level, even if it is only for this Season. I see two good teams right now and only time will tell how good they both are, and a State Championship will not be the defining reason either schools season was a success.

I agree Woodside and Pheobus are on the same level this season (so far) we still have to finish the season and see what happens. Neither team is ggod enough to sleep on anyone. Hampton alway has something in the tank for their matchup with Pheobus just keep open minds and see what the rest of the season brings. The PD is always a tough district and anything can happen in any week. Just check out the first week of the season.

well its obvious woodside wasnt on their "A GAME" either... if it wasnt for 3 trnovers in the first half woodside woulda whooped phoebus and beat them by at least 2 scoresso i guess both woodside and phoebus play "C game" football that night haha as of THIS year woodside and phoebus are the only PD team i see making a run in the playoffs both have a good shot at state

No need to argue about that game anymore. The two best PD teams played and one came out with the W. But neither team in my opinion are losers by a long shot. Good Luck to both this coming post season.

If Woodside was the better team they would have won but they left too much time on the clock should of ran out the clock and finished the Phantoms off....Clock Management and they would of won the game but no the Phantom D did their job and stopped them...then made them punt...oopps bad snap and a ugly kick then u give a good team an even better chance at winning the game and they have a kicker year in and year out so a good team would of ran the clock and converted first downs but Woodside didnt so they arent the better team....the kids were not focus spraying water and jumping up and down before the clock hit all zeros....Woodside should do well in the playoffs and i wish them luck because they are from the PD but dont disrespect an established program like Phoebus and say some bogus stuff

:confused:What about Gloucester, Churchland, Warwick, Woodside, and Heritage? Don't forget to downplay on those W's too...c'mon man stop the hating. Just because we're not the 08 squad doesn't mean anything but feel free to say we looked bad against Churchland and how Woodside should've beat us. Or tell me how we're going to take a L to either Bethel or Hampton...we need something to hang up in the locker room

We're still dominating teams like last year defensively minus Woodside. And with your name being "krabbakrusha" (translated to Crabber Crusher) I thought you were a Phantom fan

To make it simple I was saying I don't think SB will win their region especially when a senior orientated team like Edison there

YES, IT IS WAAAAAY TOOOO EARLY TO BE TALKING ABOUT A STONEBRIDGE-PHOEBUS REMATCH!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have not even gotten to the playoffs yet. There is still a team from Queen St that we have to play, and then there is a team on Big Bethel Rd to fight. On top of all that there are those pesky team from across the water that we will have to deal with, and 1 from Richmond. Is is too early, I would say yes!:focus:

Well, working with actual COACHES FROM SB.. they say that they don't even know if they have enough to get out of the Northern Region. maybe saying that SB isn't the same is a correct statement. For one, they are NOWHERE NEAR the size that they were last year. They may not even have the speed that they had last year either. The coaches that I know all said they are in a rebuilding year, and that if they get pass their non-district games, they will be in the playoffs, but they didn't know how they would fair against an Edison team that would be gunning for them.

That said, Phoebus has A LONG WAY to go to get to the Championship as well... Let's just focus on our next meal, don't worry about tomorrow...

LET'S GET SOME CRAB LEGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
