Looks like Osbourn won't get a game until the state playoffs...they've beaten Mountain View 33-20, Brooke Point 42-21, Loundon Valley 53-14. From Oscbourn numbers they seem to have a good offense led by 4 star recruit Dominique Terrell (http://rivals.yahoo.com/virginiapreps/football/recruiting/player-Dominique-Terrell-90019) at QB and 3 star WR Timmy Keith (http://rivals.yahoo.com/virginiapreps/football/recruiting/player-Timmy-Keith-83505). I've heard that Osbourn doesn't play against the kind of athletes that we do around here, but that's just from someone else's opinion.

Those games are pretty close scores compared to the big teams around there. Only the last game was a running clock!

Can somebody explain why Osbourn High School which in Manassas, VA is in the Northwest Region? That's Northern VA. Matter fact Stone Bridge High School is in Ashburn, VA which is 40 minutes away from Osbourn.

same reason GW-Danville & PH-Roanoke are.... it's made up off NORTHern & WESTern teams.

Seriously? Danville is like 5 hours away from Mannassas...why not just put Osbourn in the North Region

The "problem" is the Group AAA schools in Virginia are centered in three areas ... Hampton Roads, Richmond and Northern Virginia.

There are 39 schools in the Eastern Region, all right around here.

The Central Region has 34 schools from Ashland to Petersburg.

The Northern Region, which includes Fairfax, Alexandria, Arlington and Loudoun County, has 30 schools.

The Northwest Region, which runs from Woodbridge to Roanoke, has 24 schools. Of those 24, 18 are in the Fredericksburg-Woodbridge-Manassas area, Albemarle is in Charlottesville ... then there is the Western Valley District.

That one has GW of Danville, William Fleming of Roanoke, Franklin County (just south of Roanoke), Patrick Henry of Roanoke and Halifax County. The district used to be larger, but E.C. Glass dropped down to Group AA.

If you put the Manassas-area schools in the Northern Region, you would shrink the Northwest Region until it's about half the size of the Eastern Region.

Yeah... why not just even them out?

Simple solution...since the "average" size is 32, and the E & NW are WAY off, just take 2 teams from each of the Eastern districts, leaving 31, and put them in an 8-team "Coastal" district in the NW, giving them 32.

Surely Danville is closer than 5 hours to VB... right? Shoot, I can make it to The Coliseum from Grundy in 8 hours for the Duals.

D-5 Central Region:

Petersburg vs Hanover (home)

Clover Hill vs Dinwiddie (home)

Same four teams from last year. More than likely it will be Hanover coming out of this region. Forget Stone Bridge and Phoebus for now, Phoebus and Hanover
Round-2.:)

A lot of people in the Central region think Petersburg has a chance of pulling off the upset. If Phoebus had their choice of who to play it would be Hanover though!

Why Hanover is it because we played them before...and we need to rectify that close game from last year..
