When the school closed in 1980, which HS/s did they end up at?

When the school closed in 1980, which HS/s did they end up at?

We have a former Pembroke student/athlete on here, so perhaps he'll chime in.

Pembroke sorta sat in the middle of the other four schools, so my guess would be those students were dispersed throughout the city. I've looked at our online archives, but they only go back to 1989, and didn't give me any help.

Most went to Kecoughtan and a few to Hampton and Phoebus. I dont think Bethel got any. Now that they have re-zoned I think most go to Hampton.

was thinking about it because Grundy won the only state wrestling tourney held there... back in '78... and I'm working on a little "history project".
