I heard Gill was on crutches after tripping over second base against New Kent and then being called out by the home plate ump for "missing" second base when he scored on an error that would have tied the game. NK won by 1.I hope the injury is not serious. He is having a fine season.

Yea heard Warhill had a heartbreaker of a game on Friday. Heard top of 7th Gill hits a shot to fence rounds 2nd base on wrong foot hurting knee ends up running home to tie game only for umps to say he didn't touch 2nd? Supposedly you could see footprints in the dirt showing he hit 2nd base? Also heard ump didn't even go out to 2nd base, let alone New Kent appealing the play and throwing the ball to 2nd to tag the base? Ump just said he was out, no discussion? Thought there had to at least be a throw to tag the base in that instance for the play to be appealed?
