PENINSULA DISTRICT RUGBY CHAMPIONSHIP
MAY 14, 2011

The Kecoughtan Warriors scored two quick tries early and then dominated ball possession and field position for the remainder of the game to win the Peninsula District high school club rugby championship over the Menchville Monarchs 10-0. Nick Sandoval’s second minute try added to another try by Marcus Hopler in the tenth minute was the difference. The closest Menchville came to scoring was two missed penalty goal attempts in the 27th and 37th minutes and a failed try attempt at full time when they entered the Warriors try area only to fumble the ball away before touching it down.

The Heritage Hurricanes won the third place game by defeating Denbigh HS 18-5.
