thanks for the post Marty and congratulations to all of the selections. to the seniors, it's been a pleasure watching you play. One thing that doesn't really make sense (to me anyway) is having some players on both the first and second team. I suppose it's understandable for someone to be selected both as a pitcher and a position player (Corbett) because you are looking at two entirely different sets of statistics/criteria. But it is hard to make sense of players earning first team honors for one position and second team honors for another, which is what happened with Kelly and Hendrickson. Before anyone misunderstands, I think both of those guys deserved first team honors as they are both terrific players. it's just my two cents but it seems to me upon being selected for the first team (other than as a pitcher) that ought to disqualify you from also being on the second team.

Checked with Marty yesterday and he's waiting to receive it from the regional director, who, I believe, is from one of the Battlefield District schools.
