Div 5 Playoff Updates Outside the ER

South County (9-3) @ Yorktown (11-0) Northern Regional Final

South County Stallions hand the previously Undefeated Yorktown Patriots their first loss with a score of 37-13 :eek: to claim the Northern Region Championship. Yorktown was the last undefeated team in Div 5.

South County has a highly recruited LB Devin Van Dyke (VT commit, offers from MD, Tenn, ect). According to youtube and my eyes, he is the truth. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rS7UUKjkxn0
SC started the season 0-3 Great win for this team...

Yep it looks like South County will host Hanover next week. #2 Hanover defeats #1 Atlee in a post season rematch 31-12 to take home the Div 5 Central Region Championship. Atlee won the regular season match up 24-14.

The only team I see possibly giving Phoebus a run for its money is South County (looking ahead, which would be the State Finals)... but from the few tapes I've seen. The over all team speed seems slower.. with that said I still feel whoever makes it out the ER will run the table..

North Stafford defeats Brooke Point 43-35 to take the Northwestern Region Championship. They will face the winner of the ER final between Norcom and Phoebus in the Div 5 State Simi-Finals @ either Norcom HS or Darling Stadium. If Phoebus wins this would be the 2nd time North Stafford making the trip to Hampton to face the Phantoms..

I was following this game on Twitter and there was some sort of scuffle near the end of the game. The reports I saw said one player from each team was ejected, but no more information is available as I write this.

Sorry, but Phoebus has never played North Stafford. The Phantoms did defeat the Stafford Indians at Richmond Stadium in the 02 State Championship. The only other Northern area team to travel down here was South Lakes in 02 , Edison in 06 and Stone Bridge in 08. Hanover was a Central Region team that we played in 09.
