Graduation Day
Name called. Tassel turned. Picture taken.
And 13 years of school are done.
But how ironic is it that the eagerness associated with growing up, proclaiming your independence and leaving the nest somehow manages to create a certain anxiety when you've posed with the obvious question, "What now?"
Melissa Diskin of Warwick, Adrian Webb of Bethel, Roger Stronach of Smithfield and Kelley London of Hampton are four area athletes who provided some answers, and from top-notch grades to marketable intangibles, they've laid the foundation that will help them succeed in their future professions. Jason Jordan profiles their hopes and ambitions.
This weekend's graduations look to be just the beginning for a few of the talented student-athletes who are preparing to begin the next phase of their lives.
