7 on 7

[just a fan]

I was just wondering how area high schools get to play in these 7 on 7 tournaments .I thought H.S could only practice some many day a year.If they practiced more then the allowd days they where going against VAHSL rules.I know they must practice before they go to these 7 on 7 things.

I don't think it really counts as a practice, but lots of teams do them so its all fine.

Yeah I don't think its too legal. From my understanding the kids could have gotten together and entered a tournament on there own using a random name. and that would be fine but I highly doubt that was the case. My guess is they practiced at the school and under the coaches supervison. I think they should do what every they need to to close the gap between the hampton and phoebus'. I doubt a flag football tourney will help them any...the best thing is to work on those O and D Lines.

I just wonder what would have happened if hampton or phoebus had participated in this tourney....I assume they didn't because they weren't mentioned in the other article as finishing in the top 2.
