Poq goes turf?

Informed sources tell me that the field at Poq Middle School is now turf grass.

Does this mean all of BRD is going turf now??? ;)

hmmmmm, how to handle this.
Don't most fields have turf grass? For example, Burmuda is a turf grass.
In sports, turf is used interchangible for grass of field...
"puting in new turf" is another way of saying resodding - it DOES NOT mean artificial turf to us long-timers.

I'm referring to the new "turf fields", not resodding with real grass. If you're not sure what I'm referring to, I guess you have to go to the fields with "turf grass" too see what is being referred to. It is the new generation "artificial turf" that looks like real grass, but is not. Turf grass is described as "shag-like". The new JCC stadium has turf, Bailey field is now turf, and I understand Poq has also gone turf.

Oh, no.... no, no, No, No, NO! They'd BETTER not start doing that.
I don't mind names like FieldTurf or SprinTurf (both of which I've been on), or even ProGrass or Pro Turf.
I'm not all that fond of "Football Grass" or "TigerTurf 4000 Monofilament".
But if they're going to start using the word "turf" to mean "artificial", I'll be VERY ticked.
At least "real artificial flavoring" is truth in advertising!

So, I do a drive by Poq Middle School and guess what? Same old field... I guess Poq will continue to keep their bad field and home field advantage!
