Heritage's Turner close to committing to Temple

He didn't even begin playing football until his junior season in 2006. Still, Heritage quarterback/rover Lawrence Turner is close to giving a verbal commitment to Temple.
According to Hurricanes coach Jason Robinson, Turner has a scholarship offer from Temple as well as Norfolk State. He's also received some interest from from Richmond, Old Dominion and Virginia (Robinson describes the Cavaliers' interest as "light").
Robinson said Turner is strongly leaning toward committing to the Owls but is holding off until he visits the campus. Temple is coached by Al Golden, who was a graduate assistant at U.Va. when Robinson played there in the mid-1990s.
