The pitch got hot again this Saturday, as the two undefeated Peninsula high school rugby teams battled it out. Warville (the newly combined Menchville and Warwick teams) took the pitch against the new kids from Hampton Heat. It was a battle in the rain as both teams played a great game of rugby. The Heat found their rhythm and came out victorious with a 26-7 win. Scoring for the HEAT: Scrumhalf-Greg Lopez (5 points), Eightman-Daunte Wilson (5 points), Fly Half-Paul Travis (10 points) and Center-Nick Sandoval (6 points).

Play continues for the Peninsula Rugby league next Saturday, March 31st with games at 9am and 11am.

The Hampton Heat will travel on March 31st to its second rugby tournament of the year. They will be the only Virginia team represented at the 46th Annual Cherry Blossom Rugby Tournament in the Washington, DC area.
