Search for NN trainers going well

Students in fall sports at Menchville, Denbigh and Heritage should have medical experts on hand to treat injuries by next week, according to Newport News Public Schools officials. The school district has been trying to hire certified athletic trainers at those schools as summer practices for football and other sports are in full gear.
"We think we’ll have three by the end of next week," said school district spokeswoman Michelle Morgan. Warwick and Woodside already had certified athletic trainers in place.
Coaches and athletic directors said it’s been difficult for the district to hire and retain people in these positions for at least four years.
