It's been a few days on hrvarsity.com for us, and we're hoping to get off to a good first impression. I wanna hear if you fans want the roundup on this site as well as the dailypress.com/sports main site, or if you just want commentary/notes, like the ones I did from some of the tennis I saw over the weekend.
I've been really impressed with the chatter on the baseball board, but we want to see some thoughts on other sports too. Jennifer Williams would like to see some soccer, for sure; Jason Jordan and Melinda Waldrop want to see baseball, and so forth.
Enjoy! Thanks, Sonny

Sonny~ this board has been both enjoyable and informative. THe OPINIONS are always ejoyable to view and write as long as the bashing stays under wraps. Good job to all out there for not bashing these players and coaches who work very hard. Makes for enjoyable reading. Not only do I enjoy reading everyones opinons, I enjoy the facts and scores posted after games. Thanks everyone!!

I like this message board. I always wanted their to be a certain place where I can talk about Bay Rivers District sports.

This is the high school board I've wanted ever since we started the message board during the last school year. We have lots of flexibility here and a programmer, Tim Green, who can make the software sing (well, almost). We'll be tweaking this as we go along and as we find new features, we'll incorporate them, too.

Lynn: You gotta get those TCIS threads going. And where's the golf?
I'll just have to comment here.... Walsingham girls soccer should do well. They are a very talented team even with Katie Carr out for the season with an injury.
TCIS golf will be very interesting. As in the past, many of the teams have star players but in the end it will come down to depth. Players to watch are Scott Saal at Cape Henry Collegiate, Parker Wingfield at Hampton Roads Academy, Reid Wolfe at Walsingham, and Evan Beck at Norfolk Academy.

VABIRD:
The only sports where districts/leagues are broken out are the four at the top: football, boys and girls basketball and baseball. For now, you can discuss all other sports in their single category. If we see traffic warrants breakouts, we can do that on the fly. Also, there's a golf forum under OTHER SPORTS
