Hampton wins this one.......HHS defense is to fast and to strong for the Dukes.

Lynn--Can you verify that Gloucester beat Indian River in a scrimmage?

its gonna be a close one gloucester has a very good player in ray harris and tommy reamon has looked great so far and they bring a very good line (only one senior) and they looked good in their scrimmages and hampton will see how they do without the talented tyrod taylor matt mitchell is very undersized for a huge gloucester defensive line we'll see how this one turns out and don't sleep on gloucester. darling stadium should be rockin aug. 30

Hampton didn't play any chumps in their scrimmages either. Landstown,Maury,Oscar Smith, and Huguenot.Hamptons defense hasn't been scored on yet and Mitchell has done a good job of getting the Crabbers in the end zone.......Hey it's the PD anything can happen but my money is with the Crabbers in this one.:typing:

Just a side note, gloucester did move the ball well against indian river, but i woulndt necassarily say they had the better team. Indian river seemed to be working on a few very small details of their team and clearly didnt want to show anything. I was at the scrimmage and would say that in a regular season game vs ghs, ir would win by at least three scores
that being said, the ghs team is very big and if they can get ray harris the ball ni the open field watch out.
If reamon throws less than three int's this first game it will also be a success.

...pediction HAMPTON 33- GLOUCESTER 0....to many seniors returning for the Program with rings from 2005... the defense went crazy!!!!.. against Oscar Smith, Landstown, and the team from Richmond.the DUKES should have put in pactice for next weeks team also..no-one will remember this game but the DAILY PRESS will keep it for the record...

GHS just does not have the depth or talent to compete in the PD, this game will be a run away as usual for the Crabbers....GHS works as har or harder then other teams, but hard work can't overcome a lack of significant talent across the roster

The problem at ghs is that they do have the athletes and depth in the school, they just dont play football. There are 6'0 tall 245 pound men playiing volleyball, thats the issue
