Field Hockey eyewear decision on hold

At its March 7, 2007 meeting, the VHSL Executive Committee tabled until its next meeting (May 2, 2007) a proposal from the VHSL Sports Medicine Advisory Committee to mandate protective eyewear for all players. The 2007-08 NFHS Field Hockey Rules permit but do not mandate protective eyewear that meets the ASTM standard.
