This game will be closer than anticipated. Grafton appears to be playing a lot more balanced. Grafton 35 - Poquoson 21

Poquoson wins if they play like they did against Lafayette. They maybe not as big as some teams but they hit like a ton of bricks.

Grafton can win by controlling the ball on the ground and doing a better job pass blocking. Last week I saw Downing get knocked down nearly every pass play. That has to stop.
On defense, not giving up the big pass play. The Clippers run defense has been solid but there are still mistakes made in the secondary.

The Islanders will not win if they play like they did against Lafayette. They made some plays and looked good against the Ram's Defense until the penalties killed drive after drive; however, if they give up 353 yards on the ground they will be hard pressed to get the win.
The Islanders are a good team who continues to flirt with beating good teams, but they have got to improve on the defensive side of the ball. I think they will continue to get better, but giving up too many rushing yards has killed them on the score board.
The question this week is "can the Islander defense improve on run defense and can the offense cover the points the defense will give up"? This is a good match up for the Islanders and Nixon, Fiedler, Bryce, Shearer, Charles, and Bollinger will be too much for the Grafton defense. The Grafton D might be able to corral one or two but not all of the Islander weapons. Poquoson will not make as many penalties and break the 30 point mark this week and win 33-21

Grafton has yet to put together a complete game but it's coming Saturday night! You can be sure that everyone noticed how well the Bulls went nose to nose with the class of the district last week (no put-down to the Tigers but until you beat them this year....). Coach Montini will have the team ready to execute through 4 solid quarters of football. Grafton 31-14.

Looking forward to the game. It should be very fun and attract a lot of fans. I'm pulling for Poquoson to correct the mistakes they made last week. Poquoson can pass or run and have so many combinations of backs and receivers that no team can key on one player.

Grafton 35 Poquoson 14. Poquoson didn't really show me much last week and the score should have been more lopsided than it was. Lafayette took the Bulls a little too lightly I think and allowed them to stay in the game which I'm sure upset Coach Wheeler a little bit. Now that Grafton is starting to gather a little steam, I'm sure Coach Montini will have the Clippers well-prepared to play a complete game. He is a defensive minded coach and I'm sure Grafton's defense can handle Poquoson's offense and probably create several turnovers. Plus I think there probably is still plenty of bad blood between these two teams. Just my humble opinion ... don't make a liar out of me Clippers!

You were very close Grafton 44-Poquoson 20. The score was tied at 20-20 mid way through the third quarter before Poquoson fell apart. Grafton's Def was tough and shut down Poquoson's running attack. I'm still trying to figure out why Poquoson didn't call a time out at the end of the first half with over a minute left on the clock with Grafton having to punt on fourth down? Then, they didn't even try to return the punt?
