...I'm not feeling the Wing T offense...or is it just that Woodside is not running it well?... Woodside is the only team that runs it in the PD...and it doesn't work well against our teams...I went to a Deep Creek-Western Branch game in Chesapeake last year and they both run the Wing T...Attention: coach over at Woodside...you have the biggest players in the PD...mix it up a little... that form of the Pro Wing you run will have your team putting equipment up after game 10....

LOL at Ripklaw...funny putting equipment up after the 10th game....I agree any defense that is discipline can handle a wing-T offense ...its just a matter of staying at home....This game will tell us what Woodside team they really are...which to me I think they are a middle of the road team

I think Heritage will win. I have not seen Heritage play this season but I have seen Woodside play this year.
After watching Woodside, I found myself concerned for the players and parents of the Woodside team. Woodside seems to have the biggest lineman in the PD. The lineman was only participating on one side of the ball. Why?
Has someone already decided what position these kids will be playing in college? Have these kids mastered their fundamentals to the point they only need to go one way?
The biggest linemen in the district were running east/west all game. As a runningback, I would like to have my lineman going towards the endzone for touchdown purposes. If a college coach turns on a film and see these gigantic lineman running east/west instead of driving up field, he will be discouraged. The wing-T was designed for not so big lineman.
It is absolutely a shame to see such primitive football being played in such a distinguished district. Woodside could have presented a better showing if they were provided a better offense... and defense for that matter.
If an offense comes out in trips(3wrs) on one side then the defense must adjust for appropriate coverage. Woodside allowed #4 for feebus, to run outs with NO ONE covering him or the zone he was in. Not once but several times.
This is what is called a tragedy. :painkiller:

You hit it on the button coach...one of the Woodside fans told me that Woodside has over 2,000 students...wow!...when i looked at the tall players that they had on the sidelines all i could think about was a school like this has over 500 to 600 hundred more students than Phoebus...which really makes Woodside a AAAA school and Phoebus a AA school...Bethel has close to 2,000 if not over....the city of Hampton does not need to build a new high school...that would be a waste... because eventually...you would have to build new buildings for the schools that you have...they have wasted money remodeling...by now we could have had two new buildings for Kecoughtan and Hampton...good grief...take the money and build a new Kecoughtan first...a new Bethel second, a new Hampton third, and then a new Phoebus and just make each school buliding much bigger for the future.
