Can anyone stop Tabb running back Corey Legister? Put 11 in the box and he’s plowing through the middle for a few tough yards. Step in his path, and he’ll steamroll you and keep going. Let him get into the secondary and he’ll almost always win the footrace.
In last week’s win over Smithfield , Legister racked up 277 yards and three touchdowns, good enough to be named this week’s HRVarsity.com Player of the Week.
“It’s pretty cool to be honored,” Legister said. “Really it was my line. They were opening up big holes for me the whole game. I think I read the holes a little better. I didn’t really have to make that many reads because the holes were just there.”
Legister will lead the Tigers against Lafayette on Friday at 7:30 p.m. in the battle of the two remaining unbeaten district teams.
