depending on which woodside team shows up the winning team (good D and unbelieveable rushing attack) or the bad one( the 100 total yrds of offense and giving up 25+ points), woodside could win this game

Bethel easy. Woodside is overrated because they made it close at one point against phoebus means nothing. In big games they have been trampled and they're playing a team that probably can't afford another loss. I think the cream is starting to rise to the top.. The truly improved teams are winning the games they are suppose too.(regardless of the score!!!) The teams that are weak are losing and falling back in the standings. Hampton and Phoebus pretty much stayed the same and Bethel has made the best improvement. Heritage looked good for a while which means they have made some improvement. Woodside had a much better team last year, they were still in the playoff hunt late into the season. As a matter of fact they played hampton last, last year and if they had won they would've made the playoffs if I'm not misstaken. The rest of the teams are the same as last year. Play hampton tough and lay down for everyone else.

This will definitely be one to watch. I think Bethel takes it. I didn't get to see the Denbigh/Bethel game, but the stats show that Bethel stopped the run. If they're doing that, they'll win this week too.

im not sure if they will win or lose its a toss up but the wolverines are capable of beating them

Not sure if anyone has noticed, but Jontel Evans is not the only player on Bethel's team. Bethel is a team this year, something they haven't been in quite a few years. He's an excellent player but Coach Nelson seems to have the ability to use the talent offered by everyone on the team.

does anyone know hoe bethels passing game is because if its just ok and jontel is held under 100 yds this could be a blowout in woodsides favor but we wont know til saturday

There is no way woodside can handle bethel pump up or not.
plus I don't think the wing- t is real football. It needs to played in backyards not in the P.D

Just like I said when we played Denbigh, I honestly don't think Woodside can measure up. Like BruinMom said, Jontel isn't the only player on the team. He's a great player, but our football team works as a team. There has been a major change on the field for us this year. Walking down the halls you can see that change in all of the players. They are ready. How many consecutive games have we won with 40 or more points? How many points has anybody scored playing against us?

Woodside on the other hand is thirsty for another win. Kecoughtan though.. come on.. and by one point...

AND SATURDAY'S GAME IS OUR HOMECOMING...:D:rolleyes::D

if the wing t wasnt real football the wolverines would be 0-6 not 3-3

woodside has always run the wing t and they have been up near the top of the district a few times if it didnt work woodside would play like kecoughtan menchville or gloucester

THe Wing T does work, if it didnt, then woodside wouldnt have scored 42 points on kecoughtan, or 34 points on denbigh, or 28 points on maury

The wing-T does work if you can execute it. Woodside doesn't run a true wing-T. They run versions of the wing-T and the spread wing and the Stone Bridge wing and a whole bunch of other stuff with wings. All that together doesn't work.
How would it possibly work? If the offense gets faced with something they haven't seen then what do the lineman refer to for adjustment?

What blocking rules do you apply to all these different philosophies?

That offense will work on teams with primitive defensive schemes.

You won't win the Peninsula District with that offense, no matter what you call it.

I have heard that #78 has now been put on offense... is this now so?

It's quite possible #78 is playing offense. I've heard a handful of the woodside players have gotten suspended for some reason, but then again thats what i've "heard". But they definitly need to play the kid both ways, seems to be a great athlete. And as for the final score, i think it will be 28-18 Bethel comes out on top.

But it wasn't and phs is #1 and you guys were worried. We almost had you but you guys came out on top. Have we lost a game since? :D Sure haven't.
