Does spring break help or hurt?

I'd have to say it hurts now because the Smithfield High JV team is playing so well. However, if the team is not playing well then it could help to work on some things. It all depends on the situation. I think what hurts the most is the school districts take spring break on different weeks. I believe most districts had spring break last week, however, Isle of wight County (Smithfield and Windsor High Schools) has spring break this week. I'd like to see them get together and take the break at the same time.

IOW is aligned with the Suffolk schools because of the Pruden Center and "other" alternative academic considerations.......probably won't ever happen (Spring Breaks together).

I think that it hurts...if it occurred later during the season it might help! Would give the teams a break.

If players stay in shape over the break, it has no effect. If people are lazy, however, it's quite detrimental. I agree that it would be a much needed break, if it ocured towards the end of the season instead of right before district play begins.
