Lancaster, KW's Carter win Region A
King William swept the top two individual places, but Lancaster's depth prevailed in the Region A meet Thursday at the Eastern State Hospital course in Williamsburg.
The Red Devils had 34 points, followed by King William at 58, Washington and Lee at 74 and West Point at 94. Those teams, who led the field of just seven complete squads, qualified for the state meet Nov. 10 at Great Meadow in Warrenton.
King William girls Samantha Carter (20:50) and Erin Dandridge (21:02) led the pack.
