Peninsula Catholic’s girls won the team championship of the Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools meet Friday at Newport News Park. The PC boys placed third.
PC’s girls had 35 points, while Norfolk Academy was second with 54.
Bishop Sullivan’s Taryn Schrader won the individual title at 19:10 for 5 kilometers, while Walsingham’s Caroline Wilke (19:45) and PC sisters Kimmy (19:51) and Blythe Fiscella (19:52) placed 3-4-5.
Norfolk Collegiate took the boys crown with 40 points, and Bishop Sullivan and PC had 86 apiece. Bishop Sullivan took second place based on a faster sixth runner. Norfolk Collegiate’s Brendin Leavitt won the race in 16:04.
