TCIS: Walsingham adds transfer Aiste Pranciliauskaite and JV product Gabrielle Horne to the group of Wilke, Korkowski, Kristin Davenport and Hope Leatigaga that has won three straight state championships. Hampton Roads Academy returns starters Jocelyn Spencer, an all-conference pick, and Jocie Scott, while Peninsula Catholic should be competitive. Norfolk Collegiate is the preseason favorite with North Carolina signee Sh’ela White.

Metro: Portsmouth Christian is the team to beat. Denbigh Baptist’s Fletcher is a junior with more than 1,000 career points. Hampton Christian has junior Angi Highlander as its leader. Isle of Wight only has two seniors in Audrey Robbins and Casey Mansfield.

Others: Christchurch’s Madeleine Przybyl has led the Virginia Commonwealth Conference in scoring for three straight years. Bethel Christian’s top returning scorer is eighth-grader Rebecca Garcia.

TOP THREE TEAMS
Walsingham. Trojans are loaded again. Can they four-peat?

Hampton Roads Academy. Young team, but an improving program.

Denbigh Baptist. Kristin Fletcher makes the Minutemen go.

TOP THREE INDIVIDUALS
Caroline Wilke, Walsingham. Three-year all-state player returns as a senior.

Kelly Korkowski, Walsingham. All-state in volleyball and basketball.

Madeleine Przybyl, Christchurch. All-state in three sports, including three years in basketball.
