In terms of the overall collection of talent, Tuesday night's game between Hampton and Heritage may be the best girls basketball game in Hampton Roads history.

There are 13 girls total who could sign Division I scholarships.

So, who will win? Will Hampton, ranked No. 4 in the nation, continue to reign? Or will Heritage end a seven-year drought against its rival?

The games between the two are usually not really good games as far as action is concerned, not a lot of scoring or up and down flow. To me the games between the two are not what they're hyped up to be. Hope you get your money's worth whoever you root for.

I'll second that..Hampton has Heritages number year after year, and I don't believe Gardner will do anything different to change that tonight.

your right but i do believe hampton will win, heritage overall has the better team but for some reason can't seem to beat hampton. hampton has already made 10 pts before they even get on the court. because of intimidation. either way they both have to see woodside again. and yes this not the biggest game,the biggest games are when these two team play Woodside. I seen Woodside coach use six player while Heritage and hampton threw their whole bench on the court, yeah woodside is not deep in talent but has alot of heart, just when you thought they were tire another burst of energy comes.anyway hampton by 9:cool:

There is almost no way you can predict the outcome of this game. I say, go to the game and watch whether its exciting or not. Either way I bet we all can agree that there will be atleast three future WNBA players on hand. You will be able to tell your kids that you witnessed a star in action.:)

Ok whoever thinks that Hampton will fall to Heritage is wrong. Hertiage is good but not good enough. Evidently if they keep lossing for seven years in a row there's a problem with the team and the coaching skills. Like in he newspaper article Sonia is not better than Tip and Joy is a great defensive player. Alyssa is great on boards and the bench is always there when they need them.I say Hampton wins by a great deal.!!! GOOOOOOO CRABBBBBBERSSS!!!:cheer2:

I wouldn't go that far to say you'll see at least three future WNBA players on the court tonight, I doubt that you'll see one very seriously. Your talking a whole lot of basketball players out there that totally dominate a game and I don't see any of these girls doing that, although you have some that will be good College players, WNBA your talking another language, lets not get the cart before the horse.

it was somthing like 52-47 I know Canes won by 5, I was there. Hampton came back from like a 16 point deficit in the 4th to cut it to 3 but couldnt get closer

Sounds like it was an exciting game. Somebody predicted at the start of the season the Hampton would lose at home against Heritage, but then Heritage will lose at home against Hampton. They are 1-0 right now. Congratulations Lady Canes. Lady Crabbers it sounds like you played a tough game, get 'em next time!

That was me. Looking at how the Crabbers played last night and against Woodside, I think that Heritage will be able to pull out the victory against Hampton on Feb 1st. but they will have their hands full b/c Hampton is gonna come into this game swingin'. Now the Lady Canes have a mental edge on Hampton. They just need to stay hungry for the win and want not only the PD & tourney title, but a STATE title as well.:jaw:
