HAMPTON -- Poquoson used a six-match winning streak to upend the American High School Division No.5 seed Lexington (S.C.) 36-34 Friday night in the Virginia Duals at the Hampton Coliseum.

Lexington held a 16-9 lead before Louie Shearer (135) won a 9-5 decision over Zach Kennedy. The Islanders won their next five matches, including pins from Cody Silva (140), Kayton Marshall (145) and Chase McAdams (152).

Lexington took the last three bouts, though Poquoson forfeited two of them.

The Islanders will face Kempsville in tonight's quarterfinal round at 9.
