HAMPTON -- Gloucester used a late five-match winning streak to overtake Tallwood 39-27 Saturday morning in the consolation round of the Virginia Duals at the Hampton Coliseum.

The Lions held a 24-12 lead after the 145-pound match, but Will Lothian (152 ) pinned Larue Gorham in 48 seconds to get the streak underway. Drew Whitlow (160), Bobby Deinniger (171) and Colin Lenhardt (189) also recorded pins for Gloucester, while James Larrimore (215) won an 8-4 decision over Neal Landers.

Tallwood's Keenen Harris won the heavyweight bout 7-3 over Jacob Kirby, but the match had already been decided.

Gloucester advances in the consolation bracket to face Granby. That match is in-progress with Granby leading 35-13 after the 160-pound match.
