I know its not, anything can happen in the next 2 weeks.
But I was just wondering.

1. Tabb (13-2) 15-2
2. Poq (11-4) 12-5 - with a game tonight against Southampton.
3. New Kent (10-4) 13-4 - with a game against York tonight.
4. Grafton (10-5) 12-5
4. Jamestown (10-5) 12-5
6. Lafayette (9-6) 11-6
7. Bruton (8-6) 9-7
8. York (6-9) 6-11 - with a game against NK tonight.

Still in the hunt:

9. Southampton (2-12) 3-13 - with a game tonight against Poquoson.
10. Smithfield (2-13) 2-13

Out:
Warhill (0-14) 0-16

Warhill play a gutless game against Poq last night, very well played game. Doing better and better.

Okay if the season ended today, they would play the district tournament.
Who do you think could bring some trouble to the top teams? Im thinking that Bruton and Jamestown can.

IF Tabb or Poquoson win the district tournament, what does that mean regarding to the Regionals Tournament? Because I heard you have the district regular season champion and then runner-up. But Tabb and Poq would have already claimed a spot. Would that mean the third-place team in the tournament get a shot at regionals?

Key games coming up

Poquoson/Tabb
Grafton/New Kent
New Kent/Jamestown
Bruton/Tabb or Lafayette/Tabb- I think Tabb will lose on one of those games.
Grafton/Jamestown

Any thoughts?

Going along with the question about the tourny winner already being the automatic bid. How do they break regular season ties? I assume head to head first but what about if its more than a two team tie? Now not real likely, it is possible that you could end up with a four way tie for 1st. Much more likely and not that hard to happen is a three way tie for secound between NK,POQ and JTOWN.

Anybody know how they break the three way?

preseason coin flip

Curios, how do they do a preseason coin flip when they dont know what teams will be involved in a tie?

I think Tabb is gonna have some trouble against the top teams if injuries to starters continue to plague them.

All of the schools conduct a drawing at the beginning of the year...similar to the NBA lottery. This puts each school in a position....if at the end of the season...teams are tied they go to their drawing "ranking"...whomever is higher gets the higher seed.

There would be an extra game to decide the first seed and the 8th/9th seed ( someone would not make the playoffs).

The ADs already know their position in the "lottery".
