Sherita Burse tied a school record by hitting eight 3-pointers as Middlesex completed a 10-0 run through the Tidewater District with a 79-43 victory over Colonial Beach in Saluda. Burse had 26 points, shot 8-of-14 from behind the arc and had five assists.
Also for Middlesex, Ashae Burnett had 24 points and 14 rebounds, Micah Reed had 11 rebounds and Katrina Reed had five assists. For the Drifters (4-6 district), Lindsey Graves scored 17 and Tianna Payton 15.
Middlesex's JV beat Colonial Beach 41-18 to complete a 19-0 season.

The Tidewater District tournament starts Tuesday with the 4-5 and 3-6 quarterfinals at the higher seeds at 7 p.m.
In Thursday's semifinals, Middlesex hosts the 4-5 winner, and No. 2 Mathews hosts the 3-6 victor, both at 7.
Saturday's final is at King William at 6:30.
