Bruton's Jen Falin Bay Rivers District girls player of the year

Coaches voted Bruton High senior Jen Falin as the Bay Rivers District girls basketball Player of the Year. Falin averaged 19.5 points to lead the Panthers to a share of the district title with Poquoson and Lafayette.
Joining Falin on the all-district first team are Poquoson junior Page Turner (12.5 ppg), Poquoson junior Kelly Halverson (17.0 ppg), Southampton senior Anita Ricks (17.8 ppg) and Lafayette senior Addie Williams (18.1 ppg).
Voted to the second team are York senior Carlie Hampton (15.1 ppg), Smithfield senior Tiffany Butler (14.3 ppg), Grafton junior Jasmine Williams-Hayes (16.5 ppg), Southampton junior Samantha Urquhart (16.0 ppg) and Lafayette junior Shaneka Ferrell (6.4 ppg).
