So many people unhappy with the lack of coverage of players, coaches and overall team predictions, new comers, returning players, etc. So why was the lack of information not there this year? Was it lack of space . Five pages. I don`t think so. Lack of time. Maybe. Perhaps not enough staff. That could be with the cut backs and all. Maybe this week since high school basketball is over the correspondets will be getting out and covering games.
Dp I`m not picking on anyone I think overall you do a good job. I just think you could of talked about so much more than you did and a little less of some of the things that you did publish.

I agree... Daily Press coverage is usually good, but the Softball Spring Preview was not good. I think that it was unfair to put so much emphasis on individuals instead of the overall District. I really hate that Warwick has been top contenders in the PD for the last 3 years. They were even Co- District Champs with Gloucester in 2005. GHS & WHS has even made the PD competitive with the Beach District.

These girls get to there senior year and get : : "The Raiders have a terrific group of seniors headed by Travonna Byrd, Sarah Atkins and Va King".
I think they deserved more. These girls are signed/signing to play softball at the next level. Oh, and Warwick has five terrific seniors.

I know that the previews aren't about seniors, but 1989-90 was a good year for softball. A lot of teams will loose a lot a talented ball players this year. I know York have a core of strong seniors that weren't even mentioned. This was the last DP Softball Preview they had to look forward to:(

i really like the guys at the DP and think you're good at what you do, but this appeared to be a "rush" job.

I find it interesting that the DP hasn't replied to this or the other thread... Oh well after all they are jounalist. And the preview is what it is. no matter what we say on here we won't get a better preview come sunday and next year, this year will be a vague memory. so I guess its time to keep it movin! After all Wednesday is just around the corner and balls will fly, fun will be had and memories made. In the grand scheme of things the kids playing might not have an article with their name in it to put in there scrap books but they will, have all of the fun of winning and losing throughout the season to look back on.

Good Luck everyone!
