I hope no one in the BRD counts NK out of the district race in softball. It seems they have come up against good pitching the past two days.

I do not think anyone in this area is counting New Kent out of anything. I think people are surprised by the apparent parity in the district and we will all wait with great anticipation as to how this plays out.

New Kent just may be out. Apparently Poquoson and York want it more. New Kent needs to show some desire.

Dude, New Kent will still win the District. They just had a bad week. It happens.

I think the BRD race is up for grabs. It looks like York is off to a great start. Poquoson is doing what they usually do. It looks like after a losing year that Smithfield is back as a district contender.Maybe Becca Mills is just burnt out. It could be any of a number of reasons. She`ll be back. She is not getting any help from her offense like she has in the past. Even against good pitching they have always managed to push a run across for the win.
Where can I find the schedule for the BRD?

If you go to the home page of HRvarsity, look under district standings, there you will find the BRD schedule, same for the PD. Here is the link.
Softball standings: Peninsula District (http://www.hrvarsity.com/index.php?page=standings&sport=Softball&district=Peninsula%20District&date=) Bay Rivers District (http://www.hrvarsity.com/index.php?page=standings&sport=Softball&district=Bay%20Rivers%20District&date=) TCIS (to come) Metro (to come)

Thank you umpire. I had tried thst before but it did not work for me. It worked for me today. Is that right for Tabb? 0-4? What is up with them? I thought they were suppose to be better than that.Slow start I guess.

Does anyone know the score of the Tabb vs Warhill on Friday? It shows in the BRD standings that Tabb is 0-4. Is this really true? If so, this is a big surprise. They are such a well balanced team.

I heard the Tabb girls won 20 to 0. Im not sure who gets the win because someone said they used 2 diferent pitchers. I heard the boys won by quite a bit and of course took out all their starters to give others an opportunity.

That was wrong. We had the New Kent score duplicated and hadn't included the victory over Warhill.
Should be updated now.

Taylor Walker is doing fine for Poquoson, she will pick it up and when she does Poquoson will be tough.

Don't you mean tougher! They are already pounding the ball, especially Clavin. Is Tabb ever going to come into the 21st century and get an outfield fence? Gloucester could donate part of their outfield fence beings it is what close to if not more than 300 feet away from home plate. That may have cost them an earned run or two this year, when opponents hit triples off you.

Yeah I agree, Cat Clavin would have had two rbi's, if they had a fence.

I believe that is should be a rule (if not already) that all High School Softball fields must comply with that of college and install fenses with minimum and maximum regulations for all games. Tabb 300 ft fence, Smithfield 245 ft fence are there any schools with legitimate fences in the Bay Rivers District? It would be nice to see a long ball that results in a legitimate HR and allow a girl to cost around the bases rather than the current alternative - to ensure the HR. :clap2:
