Has anyone seen the State Rankings for Girls Softball?

If so what are they?

It may be another case of media only covering male sports not female sports? I have seen the Baseball but nothing on Softball. Does anyone have the rankings for AAA, AA, A???? :rain:

The Associated Press only does rankings and all-state teams for football and both basketballs. There may be rankings on Virginia Preps, but I haven't looked lately.

A friend of mine with Nansemond-Suffolk Academy informed me that VISSA (private schools) has state softball rankings and that NSA is currently ranked third. The rankings can be found here: http://www.fuquaschool.com/athletics/vissapoll2008 (http://www.fuquaschool.com/athletics/vissapoll2008)

Dude you really should stay off this stuff. To many people seem to relate your screen name to me.

As for the State Rankings - As I mentioned to you Saturday - there aren't many rankings for spring sports because there isn't as much money drawn to the stadiums or fields, so no one really wants to take the time to do it. However it would be a great idea. I have a formula which probably would help but would need to meet with the VHSL to get all the High Schools together to explain and it would be subject to the information that was provided which is relative to all sports I guess.
