This is a tough one if I was to post it would seem a little biased and don't know most of their names. But there are some pretty good ones in both districts and quite honestly I believe that a Peninsula/BRD All Star Team would give the Beach District and State All Stars a run for their money on most occasions.

How about a PD/BRD all-star team vs a Beach/Southeastern District all star-team? Southside usually dominates the PD in regionals but if you were to throw in BRD with PD, they might be more competitive. That would be a game to see.

sbfan9 why don`t you see if you can line something like that up? With some of your posts you seem to know alot of people on both sides and may be just the person to get this started, it could be the 1st Annual Peninsula vs Southside Allstar Game.Kinda like East vs West senior game but the allstar game would be freshmen through seniors.

I think that is something to think about, and I believe it may be something that can be done however it would have to be something outside the state involvement. If that is something that many are interested in doing or helping, I may be able to put a little effort in it but also add the rest of the state as well. We could add The North, Central, PD/BRD, Southside, and West All Stars 4 teams playing it out for the weekend? Not sure if Travel teams would like it though and I know a that many of the All Stars start their travel tournaments first weekend of June I know ours does anyway. But it may be something to investigate further. SBFan9, you interested in helping and if anyone else is interested let me know.

Maybe you can set it up so that the District's 1st teams play against each other. I guess then you would get that Bay Rivers/Peninsula match up that everyone's been talking about for years.

The Southside is no longer dominating at Regionals. WHS and GHS has changed the domination theory.

I see where this is already headed all you DADS are planting a seed in the event your kids don't make the Daily Press All Star list or all district. And by the way what would be the purpose of assembling an All Star team without any sanctioning from VHSL it would be just a group of kids called all stars by the folks involved putting the team together.

Only reason I would suggest not to be sanctioned by VHSL is I am not certain of their rules or guidelines would allow a game such as this to take place and not penalize the school or players for playing additional non district games? Do you know the answer?

That would certainly be news to southside. Unless you're figuring that WHS and GHS are going to do better this year. No one knows who the PD representatives will be this year-- Woodside has to be considered in the equation until WHS and/or GHS beat them, and you can never count Kecoughtan or, for that matter, Menchville out, since two years ago (a much-unheralded) Menchville team upended Warwick in district play.
Two years ago Gloucester sailed into regional play undefeated, and promptly lost in the first round. Last year neither Warwick nor Gloucester advanced past the second round, right? Correct me if I am wrong on that. When a PD team is again playing in the Regional championship game, a couple of seasons in a row, then you can say southside is no longer dominating.

Maybe you should look up the word domination dude. They Southside may have won, but they didn't dominate at all. In fact the game wasn't over until the end. Unlike, past years. I think people should read people post before they go on about things they don't know. I also don't think anyone was counting Woodside out, but since Woodside wasn't at Regionals no one could include them.

That's exactly what I meant. That since WHS and GHS been to Regionals they weren't blown away like people expected. In fact those teams now expect close games and they didn't in the past. The year that MHS beat Warwick in District play, they were DOMINATED by the beach team. 9-0 is not why I didn't mention MHS. Thanks Softball4girls. People are too touchy on this site.

Sorry, 'dominates' may have been the wrong word for me to use. I was referring to wins as opposed to score and Southside seems to be ahead in that category.
