I believe there are many good first basemen in the BRD. The first baseman for New Kent has the best chance at making all districts this year. She is swinging the bat well and digging all the balls she gets a chance to dig. Also, the first baseman for Southhampton is doing a nice job. Hendrix in Smithfield would have a shot, but she has been struggling with the bat and made a costly error at New Kent. It is going to be a tough call, but I think New Kent all the way.

The first baseman for Lafayette is a great year as a freshman. Since she is tall, she makes a great target for the infield. She's handling everything that comes her way. As #4 batter, she's hitting .500 with .643 on base.

there are many great ballplayers in the BRD, I also think it is a little early to try to determine any right now.:)

It is too early to determine that because all the teams haven't played each other.
How many do you typically go with for an ALL DISTRICT TEAM???would it be:
1- 1st
1- 2nd
1 - SS
1 - 3rd
3 - OF
2 - Catchers?
3 - Pitchers?
1 -Utility Player?

Grafton might be at the bottom of the pack this season but they have one of the best outfielders in the district. Kelley Anderson plays center and bats leadoff for them. Midway she is batting over .400 and has thrown out 3 or 4 girls at the plate from center. She is tough girl to face and a threat for any pitcher. She is also only a sophomore.

There are many good players in the BRD, it will be interesting who gets what honors. There are still plenty of games to be played, the BRD is still up for grabs, but if York keeps playing the way they are, the race will be for second place. It has been a great season so far, just hope all the girls keep working hard.

This kid has done a very good job from the times I have seen her. Does she play for a travel team? If so who? If not would she like too?

Too soon, every girl on every team has been strong. On any given day, anyone in the BRD bottom half could beat the top half if your not bringing your best game. Agressive players and hitters. Your not going to see alot of huge scores or alot of strikeouts unless maybe new school Warill but watch out for them in the next 2 years.

Kelly Anderson has played for many years with the Yorktown Revolution and is currently on the 16U team. Teammates that are mentioned frenquently in the DP include Gabby Andino and Kristy Hoeffer (Woodside), Alex Ward (Warwick), Daniel Gleason and Michaela Munday (Tabb).
