For HRVarsity.com users
This e-mail went out to all HRVarsity registered users today.
Hello,
This is one of those irregular e-mails we send out from HRVarsity.com to address various issues.
First, some of you received PMs from someone named Patricia over this past weekend promoting a certain religion. We apologize for this getting through. Apparently someone found a weakness in the software that runs the HRVarsity forums and was able to do this not just on HRVarsity, but on others, too. It's happened on a message board for laser eye surgery, one for woodcarving and many others.
Second, in the near future the look of HRVarsity is going to change. NONE of the current content will be lost, but we are going to separate content provided by the Daily Press from the message boards. All the sport-specific message boards will remain, but the front page of HRVarsity will look more like the front page of dailypress.com. From there, you'll still be able to read stories, and find scores and standings, etc. There will be a prominent link to the forums on the page, so you'll be able to get to them easily.
Third, with the school year winding down, traffic will decline during summer months. So that's a time when we can make changes to the website. If you have any suggestions, please pass them on. send them to me at lburke@dailiypress.com
