Woodside softball team gets a good injury report
By Dave Johnson | djohnson@dailypress.com
With all the bad news Mike Tallon has been getting regarding his team's injury list, this week finally brought a positive report. Pitcher Regina Rodriguez, who sprained her left (non-throwing) wrist in a car accident last week, returned to the lineup after missing only two games.
Rodriguez, who normally starts on the mound and moves to first base when reliever Gabby Andino comes on, pitched four innings Monday in the Wolverines' victory over Denbigh.
"She was a bit rusty, but she did OK," Tallon said. "It's good to have her back, and it plugs a hole or two and allows (players) to go back to positions where they're more comfortable."
