Any thoughts on the games tommorrow?

WoHS-Heritage
Bethel-Warwick
KHS-Gloucester
DHS-Hampton
MHS-Phoebus

Here are my thoughts....
1. Woodside will control the game vs. Heritage and should win by a goal or 2... Final score 3-1

2. Bethel will give Warwick a run for their money and may come out with a tie.... but I think Warwick wins by a goal. 2-1

3. KHS and Gloucester will be the game of the week... very competitive. GHS will be very physical and if this gets into the head of the KHS guys.. this could be a card fest.... GHS wons 3-2

4. DHS rebounds against hampton... 4-1

5. MHS has more talent then PHS but those boys have some heart.. closer then most people think.... 3-1

ANyone else?

I believe these scores are very accurate, not much as I could disagree with. I do believe that some of those games should be higher margins of victories, but then I take that back becausemost games are where one team dominates most of or basically the whole game, but still only manages a few goals. So overall I agree with the scores, even the GHS over KHS, even though I believe KHS is the best team in the district. However I wouldnt be surprised if some of those games end up being more one-sided than the predicted scores you gave, like the WHS vs HHS (Heritage) game, MHS vs PHS, and DHS vs HHS (Hampton).

My predictions:

Denbigh over Hampton 6-1
Gloucester over Kecoughtan 2-1
Menchville over Phoebus 5-1
Woodside over Heritage 6-2
Warwick over Bethel 4-1

I'll have to admit that I agree with what you guys have predicted.

Also, there should be an update on KHS....they are going thru some personnel problems/changes. Their top forward #7, got cut this week and their starting CM got suspended for 2 games (#10)....he'll miss the GHS and HHS games.

Should make for a more interesting game against GHS.

Good luck to all the teams.

KHSold school... I was wondering.. why did these players get dismissed or cut/suspended at this point in the season ? Ive heard about kids being suspended from school and missing games... but this sounds like a coaches decision.

It makes me think now more then ever that GHS might win friday and be the front runner to win the PD.

Also are there any other people out there that have an opinion on these games?:spider:

Not sure why....that's just the word on the street. Although #7 was cut from last year's team as well b/c of discipline problems.

Now this game will be a true test of KHS's bench.

Man... thats not cool. I wish KHS could play with full force againts every one else like we did(Becasue that was one heck of a game). Oh well though. Some teams might be getting a break. Number 7 was the one that head butted my sweeper. and #10 got the red card.

Again, I'm pretty much in agreement with the original predictions, but here are mine...

Denbigh over Hampton 5-0
Kecoughtan over Gloucester 3-2
Menchville over Phoebus 6-0
Woodside over Heritage 5-1
Warwick over Bethel 3-1

Yes, mhswizard you are correct....what am I saying, you played against 'em.

From what I've heard it was the coaches decision to dismiss #7, but not sure why #10 got the two game suspension other than the soft red card.

Oh for i thought KHS coach had a rule about reds? maybe? I can see why number 7 got cut, he was a little hot headed out there. But i was just saying maybe thats why their not playing.

I believe it's a rule in the VHSL that if a school gets a number of ejections then that school has to show some level of discipline....maybe that's the case with KHS. Who knows??

I will say this....maybe KHS's team chemistry will change for the better b/c of the possible negativity they've had to deal with b/c of hot headed players....and now they aren't there anymore. This wasn't their first melt down for the season....I've seen it happen to them before.

All it takes is a few changes and that can either make or break a season...I hope in this case, it's helps them gel more as a team.

Very Nice! Its a Borat again... Predictions

WoHS over Heritage 3-1
Warwick over Bethel 4-2
Gloucester over KHS 3-2
DHS over Hampton 4-0
MHS over Phoebus 6-0

1.See I'm not all pro Kazakside like people would think I would be , I think we should be able to get a win, as long as we can put a few in the back of the net we should control the game.
2. Bethel has given a few teams scares lately, so i think that it will be a close one but Warwick should be the better tem, but I will give room for an upset.
3.This is the matchup of the week and I think that because of what happened with KHS's players, that GHS will be able to squeak one out.
4.Denbeigh should have no problem whatsoever. Domination.Enough Said.
5.Phoebus has a two good players, Steven Bryant and Zach Donatelli , but the surrounding players dont give them a chance. Hands down MHS.

Two of the 5 I guessed correctly, and the others, I imagine, were delayed. I should do this predicting thing more often... With money involved ;)

Anyone know the whs bethel boys soccer score?

KHSOldSchool

All I want to say is that GHS plays hard but they are not a contender for the title. The smaller sized Darling Stadium really helped GHS keep the game close. KHS's midfield dominated the game and their second string goalie played great when he needed to.

In light of the second string players having to fill in for the injured/suspended starters, KHS is looking like a team on the rise considering they let go of a top notch forward & are having to nurse some key injuries.

GHS may have been undefeated before this game, but they did not impress me enough to consider them a contender. They had an opportunity to pounce on a team that is kind of down b/c of what's transpired this week, but didn't b/c they are not as good as others want to bill.

Either Warwick had an extremely bad night against GHS or they aren't as good as those prowarwick supporters want to believe.

We shall see come Tuesday when WHS face KHS.

I don't know of any fields the PD plays on that are bigger than Darling, so shouldnt that make GHS competitive in every game according to what you say about them? and if so why couldnt they contend for the district

Good point, but based on what I've seen out of MHS....GHS will have a hard time beating them on any field.

From what i recall, KHS didnt beat them either

Your right they didnt beat us. But that was a extremly tuff game. I cant say i really want to play them again. Dont be messin around with KHS.

Anyone doubting the skill of KHs and the heart of MHS (to beat the Warriors)... doesn't know the district well.

whenever the top 4 (WHS, MHS, KHS, GHS) play, it is almost a toss up. it can go to any of the teams, its just who is having a better day and who can execute.
