Woodside HS, the VA state ultimate frisbee champions

Saturday, Woodside ultimate club attended VA state championship hosted at LC Bird high school (richmond).
Saturday Wolverines won 4 games which put them into championship bracket.
On sunday, in semifinals woodside played YHB Highschool ( probably #3 in state) beating them 14-11.
in the finals Woodside defeated LC Bird High school 15-12.

The club started 4 years ago under coach Lesnett. The first tournament the team went to they did not score a single point. 4 years later Woodside is ranked # 15 in the country, got to quaterfinals in Easterns National championship, and won the state championship.

thank you.... btw there are pick up games at tab elementary at 6 every tuesday and thursday. there are always many people. ( well at least enough for two teams)
and its tons of fun. new players are welcome to come out and see how the game is played.
