In American Legion play Wednesday, Shawn Sizemore was 2-for-4 with an RBI, Brad Forrest added an RBI and Newport News Post 25 (3-0) won 3-1 over Smithfield Post 49. Austin Chrismon struck out eight for Newport News, and Jake Weinreich was 2-for-3. Pat Morrison was 2-for-4 with a double for Smithfield.
