Lets get some golf talk started up here. The TCIS race is heating up and state championships are coming up.

I'll bite. Tomorrow's match between HRA and Walsingham will be very interesting. Both are doing well. Walsingham's only loss was to Cape Henry which HRA beat. HRA lost to Bishop Sullivan which Walsingham beat. TCIS championships can be won by any of 4 teams: HRA, Cape Henry, Walsinham, or Norfolk Academy. The team leaders Wingfield (HRA), Saul (CH), Beck (NA) and Wolfe (W) will have to do well but it will come down to team depth. Walsingham lost the talented Scheil and J. McCarthy to graduation last year. Many didn't give Walsingham much of a chance this year but Walsingham has proven the naysayers wrong. Freshman Nick Funk has made a huge contribution to the team. Junior Walker McCarthy has played consistently well. Senior Courtland Maritin who rejoined the team after a 2 year break has made a significant contribution. Sophomore Ryan Nopper and eighth grader Ben Meadows have also provided talented depth.
After losing to Cape Henry by 2 strokes in last year's TCIS championship Walsingham is ready for redemption.

Congrats to HRA for beating Walsingham today. Even though Walsingham's Wolfe was medalist with a 72 the rest of the top five were from HRA. Walsingham's team did not play their game today and HRA stepped it up to take advantage of that. The TCIS championship will require an effort from the entire team.
