I think you are under-estimating Heritage. They will definitely not be sloppy. They are looking good just from watching the scrimmages they had this year.

Here we go with the SCRIMMAGE DREAMERS!!!!! And my grandmother ran for 3 TD'S...... While my 5 year old bro had 10 sacks and ran 2 fumbles back for TD'S. Plus drove the bus back to school.
I think scrimmage games should count as games next year, since everyone wants to refer to them.

i think scrimmages are a good way to see how a team will do i mean while 1st team is in its pretty much the same as a game no you cant put a prediction in finish by a scrimmage but you can tell where the strengths and weaknesses of a team are it just doesnt count towards a teams record

A scrimmage is for the coaches and the players to see what needs to be worked on and nothing more. If they are not looking sloppy in a scrimmage game, where in all actuality they should, then they should not look sloppy at an actual district game. Heritage in my opinion did not look sloppy last year when they were tied for first place during the first half of the season.

People look into a scrimmage as a real game. They have no clue what the coaches are looking at or trying to do. All the fans want is to win! Then when game time comes and they are not scrimmageing that AA team, something went wrong. I have sat behind some nuts and said a team won a scrimmage and they shoud win it all. I bet somehow Lynn and the crew is trying to come up with a way for (you die hard fans & wanna live the dream) to have a fantasy football with the high school kids.

LOOK,IM GETTING TIRED OF READING ALL THESE POST ABOUT SCRIMMAGES ARE NOTHING.
SCRIMMAGE OR NOT, ALL A KID KNOWS IS "GAMEDAY" WHICH MEANS HE GOING TO TREAT IT LIKE A REAL GAME AND DO EVERYTHING HE CAN DO.
NO MATTER WHAT, A KID IS NOT GOING TO WANT TO LOSE, PLAIN AND SIMPLE.

Look bottom line.......
15 plays for each squard..... Then 12 plays.....
Just say on the 3rd play it's an INT. They blow the whistle so you don't hit the player and give the ball back! They blow the whistle to not hit the QB! No kickoffs! No rush on PAT's!! No run back on punts!! And then coaches are on thr feild!!! Most coaches do not care if they win or lose, just to see if the kids learn anything. It's the FANS that get wraped up on winning a scrimmage!! Just to have bragging rights to talk about at the SHIPYARD!! (God knows they don't do work there....)
Wait til reg games start then talk, cause that's when it COUNT!!!!

Now that's funny, a fantasy league for the high school ranks. But on a serious note, people would actually entertain that (maybe even me).

actually the woodside granby scrimmage was exactly like a real game, kickoffs, punts, sacks, interceptions, 1st team in (til the half), no coaches on the field
king of all kings

The King has strong ties to Menchville and I have not had the opportunity to watch much PD football so far this season for various reasons. I really would like to see Menchville step it up but the pieces are not in place. Talent and discipline can carry a team a long ways and I just don't see Menchville matching up. Just think what PD baseball could be like if they had the caliber of coaches like Dee and Smith. The Kings prediction is Menchville will be the cellar again.
