Hampton Christian's first playoff game ended in a 23-13 defeat at Blessed Sacrament Huguenot (12-0) in a state Division III independent semifinal in Powhatan. The Warriors (8-3) went ahead 6-0 on a 75-yard touchdown run by Keenan Terry, who finished with 113 yards on eight carries. But the top-seeded Knights went ahead to stay on Deon Watts' 34-yard run and Thomas Young's PAT later in the first quarter.
Adam Bierbauer caught a 28-yard TD pass from Chaz Norman on the last play of the third quarter, but Young kicked a clinching 28-yard field goal with 55 seconds left in the game.
