LaCurt Boone recovered a fumble in the end zone in the third quarter and Isaiah Hudson ran for a score and had two two-point conversion runs in Franklin’s 16-14 win at Colonial Beach in the Region A Division 1 football final. Hudson finished with 89 rushing yards for the Broncos (10-2), who came back from a 14-0 deficit in the second quarter.
Travis Cundiff had a 26-yard touchdown run and caught an 18-yard scoring pass from Dylan Farinet for Colonial Beach (11-1), which was stopped on downs at Franklin’s 1-yard run to end the game.
Franklin hosts William Campbell at 1 p.m. Saturday in a state semifinal.
