Grafton won three individual titles and narrowly placed second to Chancellor in the 10-team Mathews Invitational.
The Clippers scored 156 points to Chancellor’s 157. York was third with 143 ½, followed by Cape Henry Collegiate at 137 ½ and fifth-place Mathews with 121. Lafayette was seventh at 104.
Individual champions included Grafton’s Lance Hawn at 112, Andrew Westfall at 119 and Josh Truini at 160, York’s Richie Gibson at 140, Franklin’s Tyler Childress at 171, Lafayette’s Shawn Sweaney at 215 and Mathews’ Garrett Fosdyck at 285 (heavyweight).
Runners-up included Warhill’s Michael Pacella (112), Mark Zbinovec (152) and Greg Pressley (171), Grafton’s Kardon Allard (140), York’s Raymond Meeks (145) and Josh Phillips (189) and Franklin’s Isaiah Hudson (160).
