BRD - Undefeated wrestlers [Archive]

I do not follow wrestling, but my son has talked of a Smithfield wrestler that has a chance to win State. He was on the front page of the Daily Press the other day and he is in the 119 or 123 lb range.

What BRD wrestlers are currently undefeated for the year?
The only UNBEATEN BRD wrestler to my knowledge is McAdams, 152 at Poquoson. Sweaney lost in the finals of the Great Bridge tournament as did Graham from Smithfield, and Williams lost twice at beast of the east to two nationally ranked wrestlers. So, being unbeaten in wrestling doesn't tell the whole story because top area wrestlers often venture outside of their area or state for higher competition. Had McAdams not been injured early in the season and had also wrestled beast of the east, he may have a loss or two on his resume. Notice I said may have a loss. Bottom line is there are several BRD wrestlers with a serious chance at winning state titles. In addition to the four mentioned above, add Silva, Foxworth and Shearer from Poquoson, and Robinson from Smithfield (he beat Shearer head-to-head). There are several other legitimate state place-winners, but these guys could see the finals. I may have missed a couple others, so sorry if I did.
