I really feel like now that i put this up i shouldve had gloucester higher and hampton lower. I may even drop bethel two spots and put gloucester under menchville. Gloucester has Bethels number. They did beat'm twice last year I think. Its gonna be a great season.

Hampton will not be that high at the end of the year
They lost six seniors from last years squad
It will look more like this:
Menchville
Bethel
Woodside
Gloucester
Warwick
Denbigh
Hampton
Heritage
Phoebus
Kecoughtan

Menchville is loaded, Bethel will be good but doesnt quite have the same talent as M-ville, Hampton lost alot, Woodside has everyone back from last year and should be in the top 4 for sure, Warwick has talent again this year; we will see if they do anything with it, Denbigh lost there 3 best offensive players along with key defensive positions of C, #1P, SS, CF, and does not have alot to take there place, Heritage has some talent but losing a player could hurt them, Goucester also has some pretty good talent returning should also finish top 4, Kecoughtan should be much improved as I heard there doing some good things over there, Phoebus lost a few of key players but fight and win some games they prob shouldnt.
I see something like this..
1. Menchville- Too much talent to lose this year
2. Bethel- Wont have quite enough to top M-ville
3. Woodside- Lost no one and will improve greatly this year
4. Goucester- Have alot back and could finish above this possibly
5. Warwick- They have some talent and could also be higher if they play well
6. Hampton- Lost too much to finish any higher than this
7-10 toss up between the other 4 teams, I can see any of them taking a 7-10 spot in the district.

Haha dont say things if you dont know if they are true!
Denbigh lost their two best offensive players, not 3
Didnt really loose a short stop because Pher was pitching majority of the games therfore someone had to of played fshort and also the centerfielder for the second half of the year is back
so get your facts straight

Here we go again with the same talk as last year. The King will say it again that the PD is a 2 team race consisting of a Menchville team with loads of talent and marginal coaching and Bethel who has great talent and an outstanding coach. I really think that the rankings from 3rd on is a crap shoot. There is a significant dropoff after Menchville and Bethel. What does everything think about Bethel and Menchville? Who do ya'll think will be at the top when everything is said and done? Bethel is going to be tough to beat with all of the success they had last year and I know Wheeler has to be chomping at the bit to return to the State tournament.

Yeah i agree
Mechville and Bethel will be the two teams representing the district in Regionals
I think Bethel is more balanced, plays better defense and has better coaching while Menchville has stronger pitching and a streaky offense
But Menchville did loose Sizemore, Collins, Brown and Nuttycombe so I dont know how good their offense will be this year
Bethel might pull it out

Hey King, I like to see what you write and agree most of time with you! However, I am reminded of the summer ball I watched last year. I would like to say that this year, if what I saw was real heart, I believe this could be a 4 team race with the top 2 and add Gloucester and Woodside will be right there.
Since I am new to the area, I'm not up on all the coaching success in the PD, but have herd the names of those mentioned most often. I also say that coaching will play a big part on how this will all work out.
It seems that WLL in N.N. does turn out some good fundamental players and it is interesting that all 5 N.N. schools have former WLL players on their teams. With that said, I believe the talent @ Mville will win out this year!
I believe that a crap shoot is luck, hard work and dedication pays off! We will see who's been working hard and who has talent to make a move in the season. Just don't be suprised if this year really turns out to be closer than we all think! ;)

Thanks for the comment about my posts. I would not be surprised if Woodside made some noise this year. Coach Hare at Woodside has been around for a while and he is very knowledgeable about the game. He would get a whole lot more respect if he had the talent that Menchville gets. Woodside made a little noise last year. Who knows with Gloucester? They are overdue for producing a team that will make noise in the district. My honest opinion is that they have underachieved the last several years. I like Gloucester and would like for them to take that step up.

Gloucester is going to be the dark horse and possibly Woodside as well. Just a little advice during a week that includes Bethel, Woodside, Menchville, Gloucester....maybe slim picking for all of these teams as there is only so much pitching to go around, especially against these teams.
