Well,
KHS JV's final record is 16-2.
Today Gloster lost to Menchville, and that made them 16-2 also.
So now KHS and GHS are tied for first for district!

no offense, but do people really keep track of JV standings?

Not really, but its very important for the players and the future of their respective schools. The Kecoughtan player was apparently excited and rightfully so. Why play JV if standings arent calculated. JV sports already get crapped on enough so its a good moment when an accomplishment has been pointed out. The three schools mentioned all have great players and coaches and a sign of good things to come for the PD.

JV is great, it is where kids play because they love the game. I am not saying that varsity players do not love the game. I am just saying that for some JV players competition is new and exciting. That is refreshing. The kids really play their guts out and leave it on the field.

I would guess that every jv player at every school would take offense, that being said my daughter is an 8th grader on the grafton jv soccer team that happens to be undefeated and i know for a fact that it is very important to them.
